MAKING A PURCHASE 

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Basket'. Here you will be able to choose your postage method or Collection. If you are local or passing by and you don't want to risk the stock selling to another customer you can use our collection option you then will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. Payment choice is by card or Paypal.

Collection items: we will have the goods ready for your arrival and will email you once they are ready to collect.

Please await your email to say the collection is ready. Please text our dedicated collection mobile on arrival (07763 232237). Let us know your order number, car registration and leave a door or boot open, we will deliver your items to the open door or boot for you to close when we have gone. This will ensure there is no contact. Or if you wish you can collect in store.

The stock levels are shown on each item on our website. The RRP Price & Our Price are show on each item unless there is not a reduced price.

 The 'Add To Basket’ quantity can be altered to suit your order up or down then click 'Add To Basket'. The web site will not allow you to order more than what is held in stock. Orders can be placed as long as the 'Add To Basket’ button is active. If the product shows out of stock with no Add To Basket button the item(s) can't be ordered until new stock arrives. If you wish to order more than we hold in stock or the stock level is O please contact us so we can make a special order for you. You can also use the Wish List and back in stock email alert to inform you as soon as stock arrives ready for sale.

We accept credit, debit cards & Paypal payments. If you are shopping from Outside the UK, place your order and your credit or debit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.

We accept all credit and debit cards. We do not charge for any item unless you agree for us to do so. Backordered items are charged with the customers permission. You may send your credit card information via the telephone.

 Orders by Credit or Debit card must be over the value of £5.00 We also accept Paypal.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason i.e. a stock error. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. If you wish to pay in store please call in or call 01642 909794 and we can take your order and reserve the items for 7 days.

All items Shown on our web site have One - Two prices if there is one price this is the Price you will pay, if there are two prices shown the Higher is the RRP Price the lower is the price you pay.

UK deliveries:  We currently ship via Royal Mail 1st Class st   And 2nd Class and various courier services. We quote standard shipping rates for UK delivery on our website based on the value of the shopping added to you cart. Orders received on Saturdays / Sundays will be shipped on the following Monday and if received on Bank Holidays will be sent the following day after the bank holiday ends.

Courier Service:  We do require a Home or Mobile telephone number and a delivery date or special instructions of where to leave courier parcels if no one is home. (Parcels can't be left without a signature.)

Claims for damaged parcels must be made to us as soon as possible. Claims for lost or damaged parcels sent by Special Delivery cannot be made until 10 working days have elapsed from the due date of delivery. (For Special Delivery this is after the guaranteed delivery date) Claims will be submitted by us to Royal Mail in writing and take approximately 14 days to be determined by Royal Mail, you will be contacted after this time to offer replacement goods or a full refund. Claims to Couriers or Shipping Companies will be submitted in writing by us within 7 days of loss or damage and may take up to 6 weeks to be determined by the Courier or Shipping Company, you will be contacted after this time to offer replacement goods or a full refund.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE 

We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you within 1-2 business days. International orders are generally received in under 3 days. Mail is collected from our store Monday to Friday at 4pm we will try to ship all orders received the before 1.30pm as much as is humanly possible.

BACK ORDERS 

If your item is not in stock for any reason, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed or called with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait for the item to be delivered by our suppliers.

TAX CHARGES 

For orders made from the UK 20.00% VAT is included. For orders outside the UK, orders are VAT free. Your country may still charge import VAT and handling charges. Please see their specific terms and conditions.

CREDIT CARD SECURITY 

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 256 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. PayPal payments are placed within the secure PayPal web site.

RETURNS POLICY 

For items that are not faulty:

Our returns policy is as per, The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 that come into force in the UK on 13th June 2014.

These Regulations apply in relation to contracts entered into on or after that date.

Regulations superseded, the following do not apply in relation to contracts entered into on or after 13th June 2014 — the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, the Cancellation of Contracts made in a Consumer’s Home or Place of Work etc. Regulations 2008.

The consumer (you) may cancel the sale at any time in the cancellation period without giving any reason, and without incurring any liability except under these provisions—

(a) where enhanced delivery chosen by consumer;

(b) where value of goods diminished by consumer handling;

(c) where goods are returned by consumer.

Normal cancellation period.

The cancellation period ends as follows for sales contracts; the cancellation period ends at the end of 14 days after the day on which the goods come into the physical possession of, (a) the consumer, or (b) a person, other than the carrier, identified by the consumer to take possession of them.

Exercise of the right to withdraw or cancel.

To withdraw an offer to enter into a distance or off-premises contract, the consumer must inform the trader of the decision to withdraw it. By either phone call or email.

To cancel a contract of sales (under regulation 29(1) Of, The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations), the consumer must inform the trader of the decision to cancel it. Either by phone call or email.

Where the consumer informs the trader by sending a communication (phone call or email), the consumer is to be treated as having cancelled the contract in the cancellation period if the communication is sent before the end of the period.

Peters Spares must make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as the consumer used for the initial transaction unless the consumer has expressly agreed otherwise.

If the value of the goods is diminished by any amount as a result of handling of the goods by the consumer beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, the trader may recover that amount from the consumer, up to the contract price.

For the purposes of the above paragraph handling is beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods if, in particular, it goes beyond the sort of handling that might reasonably be allowed in a shop.

It is not Peters Spares responsibility to collect the goods, the consumer must—

(a) send them back, or (b) hand them over to the trader or to a person authorised by the trader to receive them.

The consumer must bear the direct cost of returning goods

Once your goods have arrived back to the trader, we will refund you by your original payment method unless agreed by the consumer.
