Ratio 732 LMS (Ex LNWR) 50ft Arc Roof Corridor Composite Coach Plastic Kit OO Gauge. Please note plastic kits require Paint and Glue to complete. Kit Includes - Wheels (Plastic), Bearings Maybe Need Try The Markits Bearings, Shouldered Pin Point (Top Head) M83, Plain Pin Point Bearing M84) Compsite Coach With 1st & 3rd Class Compartments. Accessories: Lamp And Ventilator Tops - Ratio Kit 110 Corridor Connections - Ratio Kit 111 Coach Seating - Ratio 433 LNWR Livery History: LNWR "Dark Plum And Split Milk" Livery, Which Was Retained On The Royal Train, By Request Of King George V, Even After 1923 Grouping, Meanwhile The LMS Ran These In A Simplified Crimson Lake Scheme Until 1948 Nationalisation. A Total Of 650 Of These 50ft Long Coaches, In Various Configureations, Were Built At Wolverton Work Between 1891 And 1903 By The London And North Western Railway For Main Line Services. The Term "Arc Roof" Refers To The Uniform Curve Of The Roof Whilst Other Coaches Had Ellipsoud Roofs. The Ratio Kits Represent Four Types Of These Coaches. The All 3rd Was The Most Numerous Type Of Corridor Vehilce Operated By The LMS, Whilst The Brake Coaches Vary From The Norm By Having Their Guard's And Luggage Compartments In The Centre Of The Coach. The LMS Ran Them Until Nationalisation, After Which A Few Survuved Into BR Departmental Use. Coaches Are The Backbone Of A Passenger Railway, So Why Not Treat Yourself To Something Special. Ratio Recreate Some The More Unusual Midland (MR), And London & North Western Railway (L&NWR) Coaches. Many Could Be Found In Service Until Nationalisation In 1948, By Then Their Duties Were Usually On Secondary Routes. In The 1930s, New Coaches Designs Took Over The Orignal Duties Of These Coaches, But They Were Still To Be Found In Service On Rural Branches Or Providing Accommodation For Staff On Department Trains, Whilst Other Were Used As Holiday "Camping Coaches". Some Coaches Ended Their Days "Grounded" In Use As Railway Store Rooms, Garden Sheds And Farm Outhouses. These Coahces Have Alot Of Character That Will Help Enliven A Corner Of Any Model Layout.
