Seep PM20D Surface Digital Point Motor
Designed with easy installation in mind, PM20D is placed parallel to your point-work and operates equally well orientated either way. PM20D works well with all popular modelling scales, and with the leading brands of track in the UK.
Incorporating the exceptional PM20 Surface Mounted Point Motor, the PM20D includes a DCC Decoder that makes wiring very simple.
However, DC modellers have not been forgotten - at Gaugemaster they understand that while ALL modellers want easy wiring, many who still prefer to drive their trains with DC need simple wiring too, so the PM20D has been designed to also be 100% DC compatible!
FEWER WIRES AND NO SOLDERING.
Fitting the PM20D is simplicity itself, because the harness for attaching the motor to the decoder is pre-terminated, and the PM20 tie-bar linkage just drops over the point 'tie-bar' pin. PM20 also has manual operation, so you can test it before fixing it down.
If you fix your points directly to the board - You can simply fix the motor directly onto the board with the screws provided after placing the link over the end of the point tie-bar.
If you use track-bed under your points - If the track bed is thin, you may be able to mount PM20 directly, but test first. Otherwise make a pad from card or similarly firm material to raise the PM20 to the correct height before mounting it.
You can power your PM20D with DCC or DC
DCC Users - Because of the built-in CDU on the decoder, the PM20D can either be powered by a DCC Accessory Power Bus, or directly from the DCC track power. Safe DCC track voltages are 12~21v, and they recommend 14~16v DCC track power.
DC Users - Because power and control are separate, there are no need for heavy power wires to run back to all of your switches. Light wire can be run to the switches, with just a short wire attaching the decoder to your DC Power Bus. We recommend 15~21v regulated DC @ 2A for the bus.
Both DCC and DC Users - If creating a mimic panel or similar, adding standard 'push to make' switches and LEDs needs only light wire (such as the GM11 range). The switch and LED need six wires, so you could also used 2x GMC-PM51 RGB wire.
